As we open with Spring, I had to have the Dapper Brothers come visit me in Style Training. These two guys were fun with original personalities but just overall great kids! When I think about where I am in my life, and how hard I work at times, I often find it refreshing to be in the presence of children. It reminds you of the simple joys of life of being in the moment! Not only are you teaching them, but they are teaching you and that's priceless. Let's get down to fashionable part of this....Style! I hope everyone enjoys the pictures and embrace their unique personalities through each captured memory! I taught the Dapper Brothers that style also has a lot to do with your personality. Christian is the older brother. He is 9 years old and is very cool and calm. Carson is the baby brother. He is 6 years old. Carson has so much personality and he looks up to his big brother. They have a tight bond and they both enjoy life. It was so much fun styling the boys and showing them the different ways they could rock their outfits. They started telling me ideas and it was magical from there. I am doing what I love and in every moment and encounter in my life, I find the beauty. You have to find the beauty in order to understand your purpose. The Dapper Brothers may be children, but they taught me to continue keeping balance in life. Do what you love, but take care of you too, so that you can continue to give more to others! I personally want to thank their mother, Tasha, as she believed in my brand enough to allow her boys to model for me and without hesitation. Keep raising these awesome young kings! I think H&M and GapKids needs to hire these guys as models!! LOL...but for real!
Special Thanks to Carson and Christian who rocked the outfits in the shoot with so much enthusiasm, fun. love and overall positive vibes! Keep being cool kids and never break that special bond you boys have! Go be great. Also, I want to last but not least, send a special shout out to my girl Demetria known as DGdafotograper. She kills it with her vision behind her camera. You can find her working with local radio personalities, celebrities, local restaurants, etc. DG, keep doing your thing with capturing some of the best memories for people. I've found through my growth that sometimes there isn't much to say, but more importantly so much to do. Actions typically silence words and that's pretty much what my wife (GFB) and I have been up to these days! We've found that it's a must, that you radiate positive energy and keep your vibrations high. Good things pass your way often and life is happily balanced. Therefore, All is well no matter what each day brings! Enjoy your days. embrace each moment with love, cherish the good vibes you will encounter AND remember to live each day beautifully! We love ya'll.
-Dee'Lightfully Styled 2018....Is looking mighty Fashionable and Dapperly. I presented the idea of starting a fashion blog to my friend Dani well over a year ago and she was like, "DO IT!" There was no hesitation and when I told her I wanted her to do some photo collabs with me, she was all game. Here I am almost two years later (May 2018) bringing all those ideas and planning to life! It is definitely a blessing to have great people in my life.....especially friends who support and believe in my visions as much as I do. That is one of the reasons why I am so big on who is intimately in my life. If they don't support your visions genuinely, then ask yourself, Why are they in my life? Simple. Okay! Enough of what I hope ya'll already know...Let's get down to the good stuff...Fashion! As you can see, I got creative with the looks. I believe in shopping, living and being fly all while on a budget! For great budgeting advice head on over to Girlfriends Budget and you will learn how to shop and be stylish while stacking them coins! So, with the looks we are rocking, I went into both of our closets and got my creative juices flowing. I wanted to go for a Dapper, yet unique look. I believe in having fun, but feeling good in what you wear is a must for me. The cropped black and white checkered pants (Old Navy) Dani is rocking were dope because she likes a more tight fit that conforms and shows off her body. I mean, my friend is fit and she works out frequently so she deserves to show the cuts, LOL! I paired it with a black boyfriend fitted button down shirt (Banana Republic) because it pieced so well together and with the body type that she has and it all just came together. Accessorizing ties, suspenders, hats, etc. is one of my favorite things to do. Once I had the shirt and pants together I knew what colors I wanted to use to make it pop. The green and black tuxedo blazer was a thrift store find at Genesis Thrift and it was a great addition. One thing about being stylish is that you have to know what works for your body type, the colors that enhance your skin tone, and the most important of them all...Rocking that shit with mad confidence! As for me, I am big on patterns. It's like I love mixing things together to see how they are going to come out. Now, there are times when I am like, nah, I am only wearing this in the house, LOL, but I usually know when it feels right to just take the risk and rock it. My wife purchased the blue and white polka dots pants from H&M about a year ago, so I decided to go sneak in her closet and pair them stylishly with some of my items. It came out very well. My favorite pair of blue and cream striped suspenders were also a great quality find at H&M over 4 years ago. Look, I know many people are on an H&M strike, but they apologized. We have to learn to forgive and let go. Destroying stores and being hateful is certainly not the answer. Anyway, that's for another day, we are talking fashion here! The maroon, white and blue polka dot patterned tie was a thrift find. Thrifting is one of the best things because you can find some really dope items for very cheap. Some else's hand me down or donations can have you looking like a million dollars if you do it right! The white boyfriend fitted button down shirt is from Banana Republic, but I actually bought it consignment shopping for like $6 at Uptown Cheapskate. The outfits turned out Swaggy and we both popped open some beer and danced to some rap music after the style session! Now that's when you know, that you know, that you fly, LOL! Now ya'll know I have to end on some positive shit! Life is and always will be a ball of what you make it. You either create a ball of negativity or a ball of positivity. You can live an exceptionally great and happy life if you truly desire it. Don't focus on what the next person is doing or what they may have, but focus on your gifts, your talents and what greatness you can contribute to this world. You don't have to be famous or a celebrity to be great...all you have to do is believe in you. Love yourself, give others the love you are filled with and inspire with your unique abilities. Put those ideas to work and don't focus on the time, but keep that passion burning inside of you to keep going! Thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoyed the looks,,,,,
-Dee'Lightfully Styled Dani's Shoes-DSW My Shoes-GH BASS Dani's Hat-Thrift Giant My Hat-Gap Dani's Suspenders-Thrift Giant Dani's Bowtie-Macy's Dani Watch-American Eagle My Watch-Uptown Cheapskate My Frames-Zara Special Thanks to : Friend and Model: Dani Photographer: OIG Creative Okay! So I said I wasn't going to say much, but fuck it...I have some great shit to talk about for a moment. My life hasn't been easy, my life isn't perfect, but damn it my life is beautiful. It is beautiful because I pray, I find the positives in all my circumstances and I live my life to the fullest as I know tomorrow, nah correction, today is not promised! It is so easy for us to complain about the things that go wrong in our lives, but why not give thanks for the things that go right. Life isn't made to be easy but it's made to be what you make it and believe it can be. I am so happy to be entering the 35th chapter of my life. I am speaking nothing but positive things over my life because I know one thing to be true, the universe will give you back everything you put out. Yes, life's challenges will arise, but they don't define who we are destined to be. Challenges come, but they are just moments in time and we have to decide how we will react to those moments! Okay let's talk fashion real quick. I like to mix pieces that I feel coordinate with how I feel. The street/casual style is simply an expression of my style. I found the white ripped jeans (American Eagle) and colored patterned shirt (J Crew) at one of my favorite local consignment stores, Uptown Cheapskate. They have some of the most trendy clothes that are still in very good condition. If you reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area check them out. The savings is incredible for great name brand, trendy clothes. The jacket was a must buy from H&M. I couldn't pass it up...I mean look at it, LOL. It is very versatile too which I love. You see I changed my shoes and hat to give this outfit a different look. The blue loafers gives it more of a casual look with the Fedora hat. The Reebok classics and the new era cap gives it that Swaggy street look. I love to have fun with my clothes so I thought I would show you guys two different ways to rock it with only changing the shoes and hat. But feel free to hit me up for style advice or hire me to get you right..I love it and I guarantee to make it a positive experience you will love too! I am so incredibly proud of the evolution of my style and the evolution of me. At 25 years old (10 years ago) I dreamed of the days I am living in. I didn't know where to start at that time, but I spoke it out. I said one day I will know exactly who I am and I will inspire so many people. I also said that I would always stay fly....Crazy thing is, I am doing it through my style and just my being. Man, the power words!!! I am just happy to be seeing another day of life, the day I came into the world. The older I get the more I cherish the days I have on this earth.
My main focus is to be happy, to be free of anything that would hold me captive of being happy and to live an inspirational life through love. Turning the page to a new Chapter, the 35th Chapter, will be amazing. I am looking forward to more evolution, more challenges that will make me stronger and better, and just so much more life. As long as I have breath in my body, the goal will always be to live out my purpose no matter what...I love you all and thanks for all of the love and support sent my way! I hope you all loved the Birthday Style Vibes this year.....Big ups to many more! -Dee'Lightfully Styled This blog post is very special to me. Meeting someone with so much spunk and happiness about life, despite her circumstances, has reconstructed my soul even more. Let me explain... Chassidy Young was born with no arms or legs. The crazy thing about interacting with her is that you don't even notice it when you are around her. Her mere presence is enough to change your inner being. Chassidy has been an inspiration to many including myself, and when I reached out to her about being a feature on my blog and me styling her, she was all for it with no hesitation. The power of positive energy exchanged through our interactions was incredible. She told me her story with so much confidence and joy. She expressed to me that when she was born, her mother had no idea she would be without her ligaments until the doctors told her at birth. During our interview she told me that the doctors were afraid to tell her mother about her condition because they were unsure of what her reaction would be. She told me that her mother didn't care what anyone had to say about her child. Her mother didn't see her physical disability, but she saw a daughter that needed her and a daughter that she wouldn't raise to feel incompetent. We laughed as she told me she got disciplined just like the rest of her siblings and she did what the others did or always tried to at least. She reminisced with me about how her mother has supported her and treated her as though she always had arms and legs. Chassidy has lived her life through an optimistic lens. She doesn't worry about the negative people that judge or dislike her, but she focuses on inspiring other people... especially those who may be just like her and afraid to be great in life despite their disabilities. Chassidy and I, not only have positive lives in common, but we both love fashion. The first thing I noticed in her closet were fun and stylish clothing pieces. She told me straight up that she loved to shop and I told her I was aware of that, lol. I told her that my motto with style is that when you look good, you feel good and that was one of the main reasons I wanted to be a style consultant/blogger. She told me that she felt the exact same way about style. We mixed patterns and had fun creating this look. Chassidy was very open to all of my ideas and I encouraged her to let me know her likes and dislikes. I may have creative ideas, but I always want the people I style to feel good in what they are rocking. The black and white striped shirt was a definite match with the leather skirt. Chassidy really liked the leopard print shoes with it. I told her that I loved to mix patterns and rock it confidently. The subtle gold necklace gave this outfit just what it needed along with her pop of color lipstick. I literally went shopping in Chassidy's closet and we had so much fun while doing so. There was never a moment of silence or any awkward vibes, but it was nothing but real genuine energy which equates to unconditional love Two women (black women at that), physically different, but soulfully the same. We both live life with love in our hearts, expect the best over the worst, embrace the ones who love us and serve our purpose by being exactly who God made us to be. All while inspiring others to do the same. It is up to us in life to make a choice.... Make a choice to be happy with who you are, or make a choice to be unhappy while pretending to be what others want you to be. We all are different in so many ways, but that is what makes it even more beautiful. When you can see the inner beauty in another being through divine connections, you then can understand that life is so much more than us! In a world full of hate....Chassidy and myself will continue to spread our love because our faith is just that strong to know that it will conquer hate one day! Thanks for taking out the time to read Chassidy's story, and I hope you enjoyed the positive connection we shared through this experience. I want to personally thank Chassidy once again for sharing her story with me and allowing me the opportunity to use my gifts in connection with hers. I love you all. Dee"Lightfully Styled Meet Levi. A great kid with a heart full of kindness. Levi will be starting his sophomore year all while pursuing wrestling. When I first met him, it gave me a refreshing perspective. Let me explain, With all that is going on in the world with mass hate in all forms, it felt good to know that there are parents that are raising their children with love. If we all thought that way, it could change the world. I knew from just seeing him, I could give him a style that would boost his confidence even more and watch him inspire so many people through the look I could bring to life. We did just that and as you can see....it turned out to be a success! One thing I learned while working with Levi is that life is a ball of experiences. Why worry about the things you can't control?! We all are dealt different cards, but that doesn't mean we can't make the best of our experiences and gain real love! Swag is something that comes natural and when it's followed by a good heart and kindness that's success within itself. For all of the children/teens starting a new school year and all of the parents that are gearing up for the many challenge, experiences and the unknown I want you to know that it will all be just fine. Positive thinking and unconditional love will take you a very long way,, and as long as you have love in your heart the universe will give you everything you need to feel safe and secure no matter what. I love you all and thanks for all of the support and love!

Bringing out their alter egos in such a cruel, cold world gives me even more life. They are the true definition of black girl magic. They exude confidence, love, ambition and the meaning of strong black women. The All-Black look is symbolic to who they both are...Powerful. They stand for so much and falling for anything...well let's just say that's not an option. I love to see people especially women rock what they wear with confidence. It helps them become aware of what really lies dormant inside of them. With confidence and self-love, life is so much more valuable and your perspectives are like open pores! You see and feel life in a very different way, in a bold, fearless and unapologetic way! These looks are dope and gives "classy and fierce" a new meaning. I shop all over (especially consignment). I love being creative and different. When you find yourself,,,stay true to who you really are and life will help you the rest of the way!

What you put out is what you will always get back. I find it very important to focus on the good in life! Life will hurt because growth can't come easy, but the hurt is temporary and as long as you understand that the rewards of growing is much more fulfilling than the process itself...you get what life is all about! Be happy and enjoy the moments. I decided not to write so much on this blog post. I want you to feel my energy through my pics. I am embracing each moment and understanding that in those very unique moments, greater is near and all I have to do is enjoy the moments.
Dee'Lightfully Styled FB: Dee'Lightfully Styled IG: DeVonn Coleman It's been one year since I decided to step out on faith and bring out the inner gift that always lied dormant within. Fashion is life...is usually something you will hear me say. I remember the day I told my wife I was feeling something greater in my spirit and how I wanted to inspire others with my gift. She was behind me 1000%. Many of you may not believe me, but I picked up my iPhone and I had my wife take pictures. I believed in myself enough to just start the dream. It didn't matter that I didn't have a professional photographer, it didn't matter that I didn't own a great camera at the time and it didn't matter what or how others felt I should do to be successful. All that mattered to me was the passion behind the idea. The fact that so much more was ahead and one step at at time, I was willing to work hard and believe in myself enough to keep pushing no matter where I was in life. My style is a true reflection of how I feel. I can mix styles or rock one style at a time, but it's an inner expression that turns outward. I enjoy empowering other people to simply be themselves. There was a time in my life, when I just wanted to be free even through my dressing. I finally got the courage and one thing I must say, is that if you haven't felt inner peace and a strong sense of self....you aren't living life! The evolution in just one year helps me embrace the journey even more. I am so excited about what is ahead. If you are looking to recreate this look, grab a pair of jeans, a nice button down, your favorite ball cap, suspenders and a blazer. I loved the combination of colors, Pair them with a casual pair of sneakers such as the Vans I am rocking. I have on a pair of slim fit jeans to give it more of a business casual feel. I honestly, do what I want and it works! The blazer was a great find while shopping in Atlanta, GA. The jacket is a J.Crew blazer (women's) that I purchased in great condition at Buffalo Exchange. I believe in saving money so consigment shopping is the best option for budget shoppers. You can get some very good quality pieces for less. Happiness matters to me, love matters to me and doing what you love each day is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Never let the way someone else's book and life story look, distract you from your true self. There is so much to your life, so much to your journey and so much to experience through your evolution of life. I will continue to be better no matter the obstacles I may endure through the journey and most importantly I will always stay true to who I am! Happy One Year BlogVersary......I look forward to much more!
-Dee'lightfully Styled Suspenders-H&M Jeans-American Eagle Shirt-Banana Republic Ball Cap-Uptowncheapskate The Dapper Besties are back and as you can see this time with a mean street look. It is always a great time collaborating with not only great souls, but family! We are all on a mission to be great. These ladies never hesitate when it comes to support and working hard. I put the vision out there and we instantly got to work...I love when my vision comes to life! I created these looks with all items from their closets. Trust me it is possible to keep money in your pocket and still look fly! For budget tips check out, GirlfriendsBudget.com. My wife is rocking this gorgeous leather jacket, which was purchased from Topshop in Nordstrom. The ripped jeans were a purchase from a local boutique, Runway Seven, the olive shirt was a purchase from Upscale For Less, a trendy fashion store here locally in Dallas, TX. It is Spring so it was only right I top the outfit off with floral heels (Guess)! The entire look read "Street!" My friend and of course fellow fashion blogger, Sandy was impressed by this look! She told me she would have never put this together, lol. I will take that as a huge compliment coming from her! Check out her website and you'll understand why (seenbysandy)! The black ripped joggers Sandy is rocking are from Zara. They bounce off of the floral bomber jacket (Upscale for less) very well. The black, white and gold trendy heels are a buy from Shu deals. Shu deals is a local inexpensive shoe store here in Dallas, TX. They have all types of women's shoes that are trendy yet reasonably priced. These ladies helped me do it again. I created the vision of the look and they helped me execute it. This look was simple and trendy. All I did was mix trend with colors. You can recreate this look by getting a cute trendy bomber jacket, leather jacket or cute blue jean jacket, pair it with a pair of ripped jeans or joggers and pop some color with it. Fashion is all about rocking the look of your choice with pure confidence. Life is all about what you make it, never let anyone other than God, to lead your life. Be happy, take risks and simply love everything you do in your life!
